Behind Sunshine are the people who make the Sunshine way possible, not a management company, not a franchise office, but two educators who’ve spent their whole careers doing exactly this work.
Rebecca
Rebecca brings thirty years of hands on experience in Primary and Early Childhood Education to Sunshine – the kind of depth that simply can’t be manufactured or bought, and the foundation the Sunshine way is built on. She holds a university degree in Education & Teaching and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and has been formally recognised for National Excellence in Teaching.
Beyond the classroom, Rebecca has worked as a University Supervisor, mentoring the next generation of early childhood teachers, and continues to guide other centres and schools on education and the transition from Kindergarten to Prep. She is also a qualified Play Therapist and Sand Play Therapist, bringing a genuinely holistic understanding of how children learn, process and grow.
Rebecca has owned and led other centres throughout her career, each built a strong reputation in their communities, with one being named Best Childcare Centre. She knows what it takes to create a dream place for children to learn and grow.
Kirsty
Kirsty has spent many years immersed in Early Childhood Education, and has worked side by side with Rebecca for 13 years. She shares the vision to create a genuine home away from home for the children in her care.
As a mother herself, Kirsty understands intimately what parents need for their own children – warmth, trust, and a nurturing environment for their own little ones. She’s a steady, familiar presence for families, offering ongoing support and guidance throughout every stage of your child’s early learning journey with us.
Kirsty would have to be one of the kindest and loveliest people on this planet. She looks forward to sharing Sunshine with you all.
